"Particularly in the wake of the economic downturn, we expect IT solutions to have an even greater impact on financial services industry," said Greg Shenkman, managing partner of Exigen Capital. "Mr. Bonati brings strong knowledge of the intersection of finance and technology, developed over more than two decades of experience. We are pleased to have his valuable counsel on the board of our European advisory firm."
Previously Bonati served as an executive board member of Credit Suisse Financial Services and division head of its Technology and Operations division where he was responsible for IT strategy, architecture, application development, IT infrastructure and datacenters, security and banking operations for its Global Private Banking, Retail Banking and Insurance interests.
Currently, Bonati is a senior consultant for the Business Industry Architecture Network (BIAN) and serves on several boards of directors, including: Swisscom IT Services; Tieto Oyi, a Scandinavian IT company listed at the Stock Exchange of Helsinki and Stockholm; and Zürcher Schauspielhaus AG.
Bonati completed executive programs at Harvard University and the Swiss Banking School (now the Swiss Financial Institute). He holds a Lic. Oec. HSG (equivalent to a Masters Degree in Economics) from the University of St. Gallen.
"The transformational capabilities of Exigen Capital are highly relevant to today's financial services industry," said Bonati. "I look forward to assisting my new colleagues in turning the industry's challenge into an opportunity to create value for the shareholders of banks and insurance companies as well as for the fund."
